Bravo Lounge Kicks Off Laid Back Jazz Sundays
Garden Route Casino has kicked off its laid-back Sunday Jazz sessions for 2014. The first local jazz band to perform at the Bravo Lounge on Sunday the 12th of January was G-Minor. They treated fans to a sensational show featuring renditions of popular songs by the likes of Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Bob Marley, Micassa and DJ Ganyani.
Theband, which hails from Mossel Bay, has been playing at local venues and corporate events since 2009, and is a firm favourite amongst the Bravo Lounge’s jazz fans. They specialise in R&B, jazz and Old School music. They have opened for well known bands and performers including Afro Z, Randall Wicomb, Richard John Smith, Gift Gwe and Derick Scheepers among others.
Sunday Jazz sessions take place every week at the Bravo Lounge from 17:00 onwards.These sessions are always followed by fun-filled karaoke from 19h00.
The next Jazz and Karaoke session will be on the 19th of January, with Prerogratives, a jazz outfit from George, performing at 17h00. There is no charge to attend the live Jazz shows. Participating in the karaoke sessions is also free.
