Entertainment Deluxe With Drums and DJs At Bravo Lounge
The Bravo Lounge at Garden Route Casino has an electrifying entertainment line-up featuring drums, jazz and DJs, on Saturday the 26th of April. Guests can participate in a thumping good fun Drum Clinic with the renowned, Cape-based drummer, Lance Rhoda, from 3pm. This interactive drum session will be succeeded with a dazzling jazz concert by Rhoda and his band at 7pm.
Topping the day’s entertainment is an Old School Dance Party, with well-known DJs Nigel and Ice on the decks from 9pm until late. Attending the Drum Clinic, Jazz show and after party is free.
Drummer, Rhoda, is an esteemed musician who began playing the drums at the age of three. Now 21 years old, he regularly performs alongside well-known local and International artists and bands. Some of the artists he has worked with during his five year music career include Donvino Prins Trio, Ernie Smith, Jody Williams (Idols 2011), Sasha-Lee Davids (Idols 2011), Gift Gwe (Idols 2009), Salome, Loyiso Bala, Danny K, Joyous Celebration (International Award Winning Gospel Choir), Morgan Dennison, Spencer J Kennedy, Allou April, Jamilia, Jonathan Rubain, Sammy Webber, Denzil Erasmus, DJ Cleo, and DJ Ready D.
In 2013, he organized and produced the second Steenberg Drum Concert which attracted a sell-out crowd of 1500 people. He performs an array of music styles including jazz, Latin, funk, pop, rock, R&B, Gospel and blues.
DJs Ice and Nigel have a long history of commandeering the decks along the Garden Route. They were legends back in the days of George’s popular night club, Club Milicante, and continue to feature at other hot spots in the Western Cape. DJ Nigel regularly plays at Westridge City, Club Capital, and Club Ferndale, while DJ Ice, a hip-hop entrepreneur, made his name known at Cape Town clubs such as The Fez, Club Aces, and Club Lido. They will lead the crowd in dance with a spectacular selection of old school hits.
